Ice Illusions Majorette Troupe were formed in 2000. Our members are aged between 4 & 20 years old. The troupe performs at various local activities, as well as several competitions in the area. Ice Illusions are a registered member of the United Kingdom Federation of Majorettes. We are also affiliated to SAM - The Summer Association of Majorettes.
Members are encouraged to take part in all of the competitions and local events throughout the year. Most of the competitions are held within a short radius of Ipswich and the UKFM events, offer competitors a chance to qualify for the National Finals at Camber Sands (Kent), at Easter. Also, the UKFM award badges at various levels to reward personal achievement.
Our various disciplines include baton twirling. pom-poms, wheel, flag and ribbon. Military marching and dance routines form an integral part of our repertoire.
Some of the activities organised, act as fundraisers to help towards the cost of replacement uniform/equipment. These may include a sponsored walk or bag packing at a local supermarket for example and are run on a voluntary basis.
